General Rules for Thrall’s Fist

  • CENSORSHIP
This is an adult guild. We will not censor language - within reasonable limits. However, racism, sexism, intolerance of LGBT and religious/nonreligious affiliation is not acceptable. Neither is bullying, taunting, shaming or, verbal aggressive insults of players due to their inability to produce high DPS, their lack of higher gear, or understanding of how to play their character, etc. But, in light of the fact that some members may have younger children who play from time to time, the parent of the child has the responsibility to advise the group as to the age of the child player and the right to request our adult members censor themselves appropriately while the child is present. Also BEWARE; in many states, the use of recreational and/or medical marijuana is legal and discussions of its use will no doubt, take place in g-chat and in Mumble. If you don’t condone the use of alcohol, tobacco or, marijuana, you are welcome to express your opinion but, we won’t tolerate unreasonable arguments and preaching about it. NO POISONOUS HATE SPEECH OR BULLYING/SHAMING.

  • CONFLICT RESOLUTION
While the guild will in no way accept personal attacks or insults of any kind (see Censorship section), a guild is a group setting where people can and will express their opinions on various issues. It may happen at some point that someone will say something that you personally find offensive. In the case that this happens we request everyone to please be adults. First, please do not immediately respond to the person. Second, as soon as possible please bring the issue to the attention of an officer of the guild who will then work to bring about a positive resolution to the situation. We all have had bad days and we all have made mistakes. Getting angry and emotional solves nothing and doesn't help teach the offender what their mistake was or, how to correct it in the future. This purpose of this guild is to have a common place where people can have fun, learn and grow together and that is the spirit in which any conflict should be solved.

  • STALKING is NEVER tolerated!
At 4 weeks a recruit becomes a permanent member of the guild and this also means you will be added to our Facebook guild group page. You will have access to member's personal information and many of their Facebook pages are not public. Be forewarned that photos of members, their respective families, and friends on their FB pages ARE PRIVATE and all information on member’s private FB pages is not for dissemination or, discussion outside of our guild group, without the express consent of the member. Stalking and/or harassment will be dealt with immediately and severely. You will be kicked and blocked from the guild and FB group page and if required, authorities will be notified concerning any threatening or illegal behavior.

  • WHEN SIGNED UP FOR AN EVENT - BE ON TIME
Events will be scheduled both on our FB group page, (for the convenience of our members with regard to reminders, etc.,) and the in-game calendar using server/realm time. HOWEVER - when signing up for an event, the In Game Calendar is the only location where your sign up counts.

Accepted guild etiquette requires that if you sign up for an event and discover you cannot make it, please be courteous and un-sign as soon as you can or, send a message to the GM or an officer and let them know as soon as possible. While some interruptions are inevitable and there are always some delays, it is expected that you are present and ready at the posted time of the event.

  • REALM TIME
Uther is US Central time zone. Please be aware of the differences between realm time and your local time and adjust accordingly to avoid delays.

  • HELP
We want to help everyone enjoy their time while playing. Our intent is to build a community of friends that we can depend on and have fun with. We will do all we can to produce/upgrade crafted gear, assist in the acquisition of dungeon/raid gear, leveling and learning how to better play your class/spec. But please, Don’t Abuse and Overuse. Be courteous in your requests and contribute as many materials as you can. When a guild member makes/upgrades your gear, please remember those materials used are very often valuable in both time and gold.

  • GUILD VAULT AND REPAIRS
While guild repairs are available to all members and they increase with rank, we are not a rich guild and we request that our members contribute gear, materials and other items in order to keep our vaults stocked with supplies.   Items in the vaults are available to members on a per-rank basis FOR THEIR USE ONLY. PLEASE - take only items that you can and will use. DO NOT TAKE items to sell for personal profit. If a member is found to be abusing the privilege of vault access in this manner, steps will be taken to demote and limit that member’s vault access immediately.  Raid repairs are paid by the guild.

  • PARTICIPATION
Participation in raids, battleground, dungeon or group events is not required but, anyone who wishes to will be included no matter their gear, or skill, as long as they’ve satisfied the prerequisites mandated by the game, allowing entry to the raid/dungeon/BG. That’s the point of having guild activities, helping those become better and making our game time enjoyable and fun. No one will be left out. If an event is a dungeon run and more sign up than there are slots available, we will attempt to form multiple groups for the event or, arrange another run to accommodate everyone.
If, at some point in the future, we do establish a dedicated progressive style raid team, the raid team leader and members of that team, will have the right to specify certain gear limits and prerequisites they feel are necessary for the success of the team in general.  We will still schedule casual runs so that everyone may fully enjoy the game.
